If it is B, then we assume that:

More concrete and glass structures were constructed in the decade of the
1960's than in any other DECADE.

E eschews this questionable assertion.

concrete or glass structures or decade. E corrects the ambiguity,

ok..what does period mean...it should logically mean a decade

Does "period" suggest a decade?

i guess this could be an example of ellipsis.

akamai..could you please comment ?

picked E . I wonder what all we need to take care of in SC.....whenever I feel that I am inching towards 85% accuracy , comets in form of these questions push it back to 75 -80 ...keep fighting man...keep fighting

i got your point .. it 's B.
one more thing, as 'period' is nowhere mentioned in the opening sentence, its usage in the last can't be related.


why can't period cannot be used in the sentence? i picked E as well thinking in B we are assuming it is still in terms of decade.
