"has dated" is unnecessarily past tense... With "has" it would mean the communities are no longer dated? Or something change with the dates??

baski6
What's wrong in C?

HAS DATED means it was dated prior and is still dating in the present at 1000 years -> We don't know if it really was a thousand years old sometime in the past... so we can't use Present Perfect

A here... it uses a modifier with a gerund

E could be possible if stated like this: each of which dates....

(A) survives per U2Lovergirl's explanation.
