B........ We need to make the right comparison

The right idiom is: as likely as

So, C, D & E are out.

Answer A is comparing Americans with the national average , which is wrong.

Case of idioms. "as likely as"

the option starting with "to be" appears attractive but fails on "as likely as"

||ism is missing.. comparing person with average...

2. as the average american to be self-employed

Not correct.

4. [as likely] to be ...

Missing "as" ... Not correct.

5. [as likely] that they would be self-employed that was the national average
