This is what I understood

A newly released Linux-based operating platform <- this will revolutionize, not the "release of the platform"

rule out A C and D

E <- will, at a much faster rate,

B parallel , So B is the better option

Whats the problem with B

I guess...."and at a much faster rate" in B is hanging in the end without clear usage.

.....

Exactly and at a much faster rate in the end has no clear referrent.

E is a bit clearer, however it has some flaws too... comparison is not very well drawn here...

E here. B is flawed due to the misplacement of much faster rate

Yes i now see the problem in B....

E should be the choice

Dude, I think you should have stuck to your original gut instinct. (B) stands here.

(E) left standing.

For (B) the use of 'use' puts me off. Dont know why...
will be able to utilize simpler operating code than options from other companies use

I think in E the analysts predict that Linux based operating platform will both revolutionize the financial landscape of the computer industry and also be able to utilize simpler operationg code. Does it not change the original meaning of the sentence. Please clarify

I see problem with both B and E

(B) A newly released Linux-based operating platform, which analysts predict will revolutionize the financial landscape of the computer industry, will be able to utilize simpler operating code than options from other companies use, and at a much faster rate

E (E) A newly released Linux-based operating platform, which analysts predict will revolutionize the financial landscape of the computer industry and will, at a much faster rate, be able to utilize simpler operating code than options from other companies

Going with B.......

Please post the OA and OE if available

Matt, why B?

"and will, at a much faster rate, be" seems to be a wrong usage in E.

The positioning of "and" makes E incorrect.

(B) is alright because "at a much faster rate" clearly modifies "utilize"

People who are cheering for E please ignore the clauses added by which and see what remains - "a newly released Linux based operating platform" . This is just the subject of the sentence and there is no predicate ! A subject can't stand by itself.

Now let's examine B - the CORRECT answer.

A newly released Linux-based operating platform, (Ignore this bolded part as clause added by which is always non-restrictive and rest of the sentence should be able to stand without it) which analysts predict will revolutionize the financial landscape of the computer industry, will be able to utilize simpler operating code than options from other companies use, and at a much faster rate.

Result :
A newly released Linux-based operating platform will be able to utilize simpler operating code than options from other companies use, and at a much faster rate ----- Makes sense ?
