The cruel and surprising treachery of Benedict Arnold in the American Revolution was not unlike Tostig , brother of the English king Harold Godwinnson; Earl Tostig joined the Norse invaders at the battle of Stamford Bridge in 1066.

A was not unlike Tostig
B was not as Tostig
C had been not unlike Tostig
D was not unlike that of Tostig
E had not been unlike that of Tostig

Vivek.

My take is D

treachery of Benedict should be parallel ...of Tostig

so treachery of Benedict Arnold.....was not unlike that of Tostig Tostig

hope this helps :) :)

Yeah I agree with D but isn't double negative bit awkward?
