I would go for C. where is the correct usage here and them in the original sentence has no clear referent.

I picked C for the only reason that it starts with "where".

I would like to know the reason why D and E are wrong.
Why is "that" or "in which" wrong or rather right.


Verbal gurus ,please chip in.

actually now I think it is E. in which makes the correct reference to "informal talent marketplaces"

Not sure between C and E. Can someone explain the difference between "where" and "in which"? C and E are identical except "where" and "in which".

Here are my reasoning for eliminating other choices:

A. "junior to them" is incorrect. "they" at the end of the sentence is ambiguous. "they" can be either "senior employees" or "junior employees".

B. "strive and identify" is incorrect - not the intended meaning here. It has to be "strive to identify". "they" is ambiguous.

D. "strive and identify" is incorrect.

i think informal talent marketplaces refers to figurative meaning of a place and is not an actual place

when usage of in which is correct here and not where

go with E

talent market places in imaginary. So "in which" is required.

So, its between B and E.

The last "they" in B is ambiguous. So E.

I think this is MGMAT CAT 1 question, IIRC.
