Ans E- use of "that" correctly compares

A- it should be "more rapid than in" for correct comparison

B- had is not required

Picked E.
It was easy to eliminate everything besides B and E on this one. I chose E over B for one primary reason - the use of 'any other American city' in E makes the sentence much more clear than the use of 'other American cities' in B.

E is wrong.. Whose cannot be used to refer a city.. A city, whose roads are ..... is wrong..
on the other hand, If we use "whose city is this ? " is right.. I read this in one fo the challenges.. "It's like once bitten twice shy" :)

Hence D and E are out..
A and C are out for reasons stated above..
B is fine .. I don't see any problem with 'had' in it.. Industrial growth was earlier than the problems . Hence had is correct tense ..

What is the OA ..??

From what I understand - whose can be used as the possessive case of which (as an adjective)

Hence 'E' would be appropriate

is there any typo because only E seems logical but it is missing "cities".
