I think D is the answer here
my reasoning
An international group (group is plural) projects (we cant use project here, subjet verb agreement error hence A B C are out)
Between D and E
E is better because average it uses the correct expression between X and Y
what is the OA for this
guys m no expert at this, so wud appreciate if u can add something to my explanation

OA is E. The reason is that someone projects someone/something to do something. You just CAN'T project global warming to average in option D because global warming doesn't average. It just warms up the planet. That's why option E is more ideal because it made "an average global warming" as the object of the verb "projects."
