its between C and A..

i think A is best..harder and more is appropriately modifying weather..use of which is best here

"which" in A,C,D incorrectly modifies the Peninsula instead of weather.

I think B is not right. "has been" and "was" are not the same "tense". does anyone else agree?

which was hotter clearly modifies weather.

IMO B.

Has been... something that started in the past and continues to present is on the same lines of slowing metabolism.....
and slowing rightly modifies weather
