Please underline the Question.
Idiom --distinguish X from Y.
X and Y must be parall.
D) Distinguish their own speciesfrom those of others
others=other species.
you are comparing "Species" with "Those of Species" --> Those refer to what??? eyes, legs,, hands..
D is incorrect
E ) Distinguish their own speciesfrom others (other species)
C -- which incorrectly modifies "courtship" -- > courtship is not assisting flies..
A and B.. --> conjuction "and" mislead that "Hydrocabons assiting flies to .."
"Fruit flies perfuming themselves with specific species blends with Hydrocarbons " ------------> this is assisting...flies to ..
