To me, B seems ok. "they" should compare with "old geezer".

The old geezer aggravated his younger counterparts by consistently producing more work than them.

A) The old geezer aggravated his younger counterparts by consistently producing more work than them.

B) The old geezer aggravated the younger counterparts by consistently producing more work than they.

C) The old geezer irritated the younger workers by consistently producing more work than them.

D) The old man irritated his younger workers by consistently producing more work than them.

E) The old man irritated his younger workers by consistently producing more work than they.

One more comparison

More X than Y

X=work produced by old man

Y=them or they??

Them means younger colleagues , which make comparisin illogical and hence Y must be they ( produce) or in short

Y=work they produce

Aggravate means to intensify an already worse situation..

Hence E

More work than (work) they (produce)

Good qtn

What is the source? Is change of word (like geezer to man, etc.) expected here?
