Needless to say the coach expects an one-hundred-and-twenty percent effort from each of the players in today's game which determined the championship.

A) Needless to say the coach expects an one-hundred-and-twenty percent effort from each of the players in today's game which determined the championship.

B) The coach expects an one-hundred-and-twenty percent effort from each of the players in today's game which determined the championship.

C) The coach expects a total effort from each of the players in today's championship game.

D) The coach expects a one-hundred-and-twenty percent effort from each of the players in today's game which determined the championship.

E) Needless to say the coach expects a total effort from each of the players in today's championship game.

use of 'an' before one-hundred is incorrect. (using a or an depends on the sound that begins the next word, not just on the fact that next word begins with a vowel. e.g "an hour", "a university")

game which determined the championship is redundant.

so A, B , D are out.

IMO 'Needless to say' should be either followed by a comma or by "that". => E is incorrect.

Leaving C as correct answer.

which is either a noun modifier or just a pronoun ( format: preposition -which e.g. house in which i live)

symptoms as noun modifier are ", which" and just pronoun ( prep-which)

here it follows neither ..so eliminate all "which" related options

Needless to say, as its says, is actually needless..believe it..common

C
