Eliminate all answers that begin with that "annualy" (as the stament begins with "Each year...").
Then, look for parallelism. In E, "by" and "through" both express "by the means of", thus correct.

D - distorts the meaning..
it means you can "save .. in employee illness prevention."
E describes best.. and looks parallel too..
Save .. by preventing illness and gain ... through improved worker performance.
