The middle part is in between 2 parts of a sentence. Hence, "Although" and "while" don't go together. Just remove the middle part between the commas and try reading the sentence. You will get my point.

Is it A?

To have contrast with although we need present tense with they after the ','. Only A fulfills that requirement.

I think its E because first part of the sentence is benefiting Earth and second part is hurting Earth. Therefore, but is required to show contrast.

It has to be A. None of the others are complete thoughts.

Second thought, although and but don't go together, should be A. What's OA?

Can somebody explain why usage of 'while' is incorrect.
Try to understand the meaning of the sentence and author's intention first.

Both "although" and "while" introduces dependent clause - you can't have sentence comprising subordinate clauses only.

Only A seems to be grammatically correct.
