hi guys, pls tell why in below mentioned example use of continuous tense with 'ing' not wrong

B) as a consequence of having been urged by his own doctors, his chief advisers, and a coalition of some

6) as his own doctor was urging him, along with his his chief advisers, and a coalition of
OA is A
its from kaplan, and as per author A is ok as all other choices add unnecessary words.
