B for using correct tenses and parallelism.

Alexander began his translation....., a work that took him..... and that critic pronounced the greatest translation.....

all other options have the tenses wrong or are not parallel.

Has to be B coz "taking" is replaced by "took" & completing by "complete" so the tense is correct. also at the end of the sentence "pronounced" is correct rather than "pronounced it as", which is grammatically wrong
