OA cannot be C.

In A, C and E, to sigificantly reduce is incorrect.
Placement of an adverb b/w to and verb shows split infinitive.

B looks good as per this part and also shows parallelism >> in reducing....in saving

I have rechecked, the OA is C. I think here the best option is C. i want help on usage of help save money

help save money - can be correct usage, but depends on other parallel part/verb of the sentence.

But, C is definitly wrong due to split infinitive error.

yeah for the same reasons...i chose B although the second part is not parallel and awkward.

But at the same time i read in Manhattan that 'split infinitive' is rarely tested in GMAT. So which one should be given priority in such situations.

On one hand we have option B which has no split infinitive error and also no parallel structure.
On the other hand we have option C with split infinitive error but a parallel structure.


Experts please comment??

What do you mean by split infinitive - there wasn't any "to" in the answer choices.

C for me.

reduce the risk and help save money > reduce the risk as well as help save money

Hence.

Split infinitive. Hmmm by this rule even the choice D is not OK.
to cause OK
to also help NOT OK (infinitive split)
This means I should not count this question and consider this as "not scored"

I think question is just a fag.

reduce risk = verb+noun

help save = verb+ verb

The options A, C and D are straight wrong because of split infinitive error.

"to siginificantly reduce" is wrong.

B is correct.

......in reducing the risk of night blindness and helping in saving money
