In a certain production line, there are 8 boxes A, B, C, D, E, F, G, and H. From 18,524 balls, if 4 balls were put into each of the 8 boxes as a package in the order above, which of the following boxes did the last ball put into?
A. D
B. E
C. F
D. G
E. H
All the balls in a package of 4 were each put into 8 boxes in the order, so first, it becomes \(18,524 = 4(4,631)\), and 18,524 balls are packaged in 4, which creates 4,631 packages. Since you put these into 8 boxes, you also divide it by 8, and you get \(4,631 = 8(578) + 7\) with the remainder of 7. The last ball goes into the 7th box. In other words, G, the 7th box, is the answer.
