If you assume the original height the ball as "x"cm, you get the diagram shown below.
\(x + 2(80\%)x + 2(80\%)(80\%)x = 3,104, x+1.6x + 1.28x = 3,104, 3.88x = 3,104\), then
\(x = \frac{3,104}{3.88} = 800\). The answer is E.
