Take the “worst case scenario” with all these types of questions ——-> the unluckiest man in the world approach.
What if we pick:
4 guavas on the first 4 picks
Then 6 mangoes on the next 6 picks
And then 7 pears on the next 7 picks
We have made 4 + 6 + 7 = 17 picks and still have not met one of the conditions.
On the 18th pick, no matter what we pick, we will met one of those conditions.
