Like they do in RC, do all MSR questions of a particular dataset appear in sequence? I wish to form a strategy based on this. Since I am not able to do more than 8 out of 12 questions and if the first question of an MSR dataset appeared in the first 3 questions, and the 2nd MSR and the 3rd MSR question appeared in the last 3 out of 12 IR questions, then the disproportionately more time spent on the first MSR question is wasted.
This happened to me with GMAT Prep EP 1. The first qn was MSR and I spent 7 minutes reading the tabs, jotting down notes, but seeing no MSR question from 2nd to 10th pissed me off as by the 9th qn, I had no time. Moreover, I kept my MSR notes on the whiteboard handy so that I can reuse them if other qns related to the dataset do appear. This also cramped my whiteboard space.
