Work experience: 12 years + Sr. software engg at a not so well known company
GMAT : 740
Target schools : part time programs at Booth or Kellogg. (Prefer chicago due to current job)
1) What are my chances of getting in these schools ?
2) Do I have a chance to move into consulting after completion . Do these firms interview someone of my age during OCR?

Thanks for sharing your profile. You should be in play for PTMBAs at both school with that strong GMAT score and hopefully at the minimum a solid GPA. The threshold for securing admission in a PTMBA is a bit lower than a FTMBA so you should have a decent shot here. Now when it comes to OCR this may be a bit more difficult when it comes to landing a consulting gig. Ultimately they will focus on your ability to succeed in the interview process at these schools but will certainly have question marks over whether you're a good fit in these younger work cultures. Also, by the time you complete the MBA you will be in your 40s, so you may want to think through this type of work is what you'd want to do at this stage in your life.
