I will be applying for Masters in Management programs this August/September for enrollment in 2018, and I had a couple of questions re: the GPA requirements and conversions. I recently contacted an admissions officer to gather information on the course, and was told "minimum" entry requirements are a a First - 2:1 / 3.5 GPA. I wanted to know how stringent these requirements are - as my overall GPA falls below this range (3.31), but my major GPA is great (3.82). I feel the other parts of my application are competitive (720 GMAT, great work experience, etc.), but the GPA requirement falls outside of these "minimum requirements."
Based on other's experience, is this minimum GPA requirement non-negotiable; should I not even consider applying?
Thanks, IR

Hi IR,
The requirements are indicative - we've had plenty of LBS MiM clients with GPAs at and (somewhat) below yours. As long as your undergrad performance is otherwise decent (3.31 definitely is), and your GMAT is fine (which it is), you should be fine. Focus on building a strong app, and focus on applying in the earlier parts of the cycle.
Hope this helps. Feel free to come back with more queries as needed.
