Hi There, I am planning to apply for MIM in LBS and Judge. I am a law school graduate with a low GPA (2.7). I have been working with Accenture from past two years and my role has expanded a lot from where I started. Looking at LBS min GPA requirement, I am wondering if I am even in the league to get a chance to study at a business school like LBS. Do I still stand a chance to get through LBS?

Hi Roop111,
Thanks for writing in. Yes, definitely, the GPA is a major concern. However, often students do get in with a lower GPA, provided the rest of the components of the applications, such as essays and GMAT scores are stellar. We don't quite have any other details with regard to your candidature and would recommend that you share the same for a detailed evaluation.

Hi, Thanks a lot for your response. Following are my details:
1.GPA: 2.7 (I was restricted from giving few exams due to low attendance which I believe wasnt low at all (it was75%) and I was considered flunked in all those subjects which is also one of the main reasons for such a low GPA, if that matters.
2.GMAT: Still preparing for it. I believe I can score a 700 out of 800 with practice.
3. Work experience: 2 years in commercial and legal department of Accenture where my role and responsibilities have expanded.
4. Papers presented: presented a paper in an international conference conducted by a law school.
5. Social work: have been working as a part time rescuer of stray dogs and cats.
6. Startup experience: I have helped a startup with their marketing and legal formalities for their setup.
7. Internship experience : have interest with various top tier law firms in India.
Please let me know if I can Target LBS as LBS would be my first choice for masters. Please feel free to suggest any ideas as to increase my admission chances, if any. Cheers
