Accepted with 20K Scholarship. Need to choose between Ross (LA), UCLA and Haas. Pretty sure I could get into Wharton, Booth etc. but company will only sponsor 12K a year, and GI bill still will leave me owing quite a bit, so those are out. Leaning toward Ross because of location and cost. Any other Haas vs Ross candidates out there?

Thanks! I've actually been thinking about this for years and I've done everything from speak with colleagues from most of the top schools, broke down the time commitment of each school and did a cost benefit analysis for each EMBA. I've finally decided to move forward with an EMBA. These three schools are the only ones that make sense fiscally, allow me to fulfill my family commitments and further my career goals.

Sorry I wasn't more clear, I'm not questioning the emba at all, I'm just saying that it would be valuable for you to talk with people who have graduated from each of these three programs.

The differences between the programs becomes pretty vivid once you have a few interviews with people from each one.

I have my clients use LinkedIn for that because schools can make introductions but they cherry-pick.

When you say the differences are pretty vivid ... I'm trying to read between the lines ... do you have a strong favorite between the three, or are you only observing that the programs are really different and the OP may have a strong preference once he were to dig into it a bit more?

I ask because I'm considering the EMBA program at two of these for an entry next year ... just curious ... :)

What exactly is your goal after the EMBA? Are you looking to transition functions and/or industries, or just move up the ladder at your current company? Are you trying to stay in LA or where would you relocate to?

These need to be answered before you can decide. Based on brand name alone, Berkeley is the pick. If you really need breath of alumni network, that’d be Ross, although Berkeley is for sure better for the West Coast. It all really just depends. Without knowing too much, I’d go Haas.
