Hi,
I am not sure if this topic has already been discussed before, so I apologise beforehand if it has. I am in a bit of a conundrum on how to answer the 'Tell me about yourself' question. I am unsure of how to begin answering it. Should I explain the reasoning behind every career choice I have made so far, so that it gives them an insight about my thought process? Should I follow a standard procedure like saying a little about my family, undergrad, work experience and hobbies in the same order? Or should I proceed in some other way? Any suggestions/advice/criticism would be appreciated.

Tell me about yourself is one of the most common questions you will face in any interview. You can structure it depending on how your interview started. Mostly, you can start it off formally by saying what you are doing, what you have studied, what your skillset/interests are, your hobbies, and just some fun fact to make the interview easy and fun.
Additionally, sharing a problem similar to what I was asked during my ISB interview.

People with a consulting background or expertise in one industry/startup can expect such questions.
