A regional shipping terminal handles cargo arriving from several overseas ports. During the year, changes in shipping schedules and seasonal demand caused the amount of cargo handled by the terminal to vary from one three-month period to the next. The terminal handled a total of 18,600 tons of cargo during the year.
During April through June, the amount of cargo handled was 18 percent less than during January through March. During July through September, the amount handled was 25 percent greater than during April through June. During October through December, the amount handled was 12 percent less than during July through September.
In the table, select for January-March the number of tons that most closely approximates the amount of cargo handled during January through March, and select for October-December the number of tons that most closely approximates the amount of cargo handled during October through December. Make only two selections, one in each column.
