Notice that the difference between Sensex of the year 2009 and the year 2008 is the maximum, where 2008 and 2009 are the consecutive years.
Sensex in 2009=17500 (Approx.)
Sensex in 2008=9000 (Approx.)
Difference=17500-9000=8500(approx.)
Ans. (D) is the best match.

\(\frac{S_{2007}}{S_{2008}}*100=\frac{18000}{9000}*100\)=200%
