A parcel-delivery company recorded the processing times, in minutes, for 200 packages handled at each of seven sorting centers during the same day. For each sorting center, the graph shows the distribution of processing times. Each of the four sections of a bar represents 25 percent of the packages processed at that center.
Select from each drop-down menu the option that completes the statement most accurately based on the information provided.
Among the sorting centers at which the maximum processing time exceeded 45 minutes, the center with the lowest median processing time was .
At that center, at least 75 percent of the packages had processing times of minutes or less.

Among the sorting centers at which the maximum processing time exceeded 45 minutes, the center with the lowest median processing time was .
At that center, at least 75 percent of the packages had processing times of minutes or less.
Official Solution:
Drop-down 1:
First consider only the sorting centers at which the maximum processing time exceeded 45 minutes:
Center B: 50 minutes Center E: 48 minutes Center F: 58 minutes Center G: 46 minutes
The median is the value that separates the lower half of the observations from the upper half. Since each section of a bar represents 25 percent of the packages, the median is the value at the point separating the lower two sections from the upper two sections.
The median processing times are approximately:
Center B: 34 minutes Center E: 27 minutes Center F: 33 minutes Center G: 25 minutes
Centers E and G are relatively close, but Center G's median lies directly on the 25-minute dotted gridline, while Center E's median lies slightly above that line.
Therefore, Center G had the lowest median processing time.
Drop-down 2:
At Center G, the point separating the first three sections from the fourth section represents the value at or below which at least 75 percent of the processing times fall.
On the graph, this point lies slightly below the 35-minute dotted gridline, at approximately 34 minutes.
Therefore, at least 75 percent of the packages processed at Center G had processing times of 34 minutes or less.
