Woodland and wetland together occupy:
28% + 17% = 45%
Shrubland and rocky terrain together occupy:
14% + 11% = 25%
Therefore, the ratio of the two combined areas is:
45/25 = 1.8
Thus, the combined area of woodland and wetland was approximately 1.80 times the combined area of shrubland and rocky terrain.

Wetland, shrubland, and rocky terrain together account for:
17% + 14% + 11% = 42%
The difference is therefore:
49% - 42% = 7%

So the total area of the reserve was 8,000 hectares.
