In group 2, there are 400 people, 11% of whom have sneezing and itchy eyes. Therefore, in group 2, there are (0.11)(400) people, or 44 people, who have sneezing and itchy eyes. In group 1, there are 300 people, 8% of whom have sneezing and itchy eyes. Therefore, in group 1, there are (0.08)(300) people, or 24 people, who have sneezing and itchy eyes. So the total number of people in both groups who have sneezing and itchy eyes is 24 + 44, or 68.
