a=9, b=5 18> 15> 6
or
a=8, b=4 16> 12> 6

Original question reads:
What is the two-digit positive integer whose tens digit is a and whose units digit is b?
(1) 2a > 3b > 6 --> several cases are possible, for example b=3 and and a=5 or b=4 and and a=7. Not sufficient.
(2) a > 2b > 6 --> the least value of 2b is 8, for b=4 and since a is a single digit it can only be 9 (if b>4 then a won't be a single digit anymore). Sufficient.
Answer: B.
