What is the value of (4x-y)*1/(3y)?
(1) 4x = 3y
(2) 7x = 4
(1) 4x = 3y
(2) 7x = 4

What is the value of (4x-y)*1/(3y)?
(1) 4x = 3y --> \((4x-y)*\frac{1}{3y}=(3y-y)*\frac{1}{3y}=\frac{2}{3}\). Sufficient.
(2) 7x = 4. We still need the value of y to calculate (4x-y)*1/(3y). Not sufficient.
Answer: A.
