Given:
• t denotes the thousandths digit of the number N = 0.56t8

To find:
• The value of the digit t

Analysing Statement 1
• As per the information given in Statement 1, if N is rounded to the nearest hundredth, the result would be 0.57
    o As 0.56t8 becomes 0.57, it implies the value of t is either equal or greater than 5
• However, out of the possible values of t, we cannot specify the exact value of t
• Therefore, statement 1 is not sufficient to answer the question

Analysing Statement 2
• As per the information given in Statement 2, if N is rounded to the nearest thousandth, the result would be 0.568
    o As 0.56t8 becomes 0.568, it implies t + 1 = 8 (because the digit following t is 8, which is greater than 5)
    o Or, we can say t = 7

• Hence, statement 2 is sufficient to answer the question

Hence, the correct answer is option B.
