If \(2^x*7^y = z\), what is the value of z ?
(1) \(x − y = 1\)
(2) \(2^x = 8\)
(1) \(x − y = 1\)
(2) \(2^x = 8\)

Statement 1: x - y = 1. x=y + 1.
\(2^{y + 1} 7^y = z\)
\(2^y * 7^y*2 = z\)
\((14)^y 2 = z.\)
No information about y. NOT sufficient.
Statement 2: \(2^x = 8\). \(2^x = 2^3\). x =3. No information about y. NOT sufficient.
Combining :
x - y = 1
3 - y = 1
y = 2.
So, x = 3 and y = 2. Now we can find out the total value.
The best answer is C.

means x & y are consective values . but x & y are not know in suffieint

in sufficeint as y not know
so 1&2

sufficient
