There's a typo in Statement 1 of some kind (as written, that sentence doesn't make sense), so it's hard to guess what the answer is, but I'd assume it's E, since Statement 2 only tells us that B and D are different (since a square is always positive or zero, and in this case only zero if B = D). So if Statement 1 doesn't let you compare B with any other letter, B can be largest or D can be largest.
