\(x\)=\(\frac{a}{3}\) , \(y\)= \(\frac{b}{4}\)
\(x+y\) = \(\frac{a}{3}\)+\(\frac{b}{4}\)
We have no idea of \(a\) and \(b\), hence INSUFF
(2) \(d = x + \frac{y}{2}\)
\(2x+y=2d\), still INSUFF.
