Step 1: Analyse Question Stem
- • We need to find the value of x
Step 2: Analyse Statements Independently (And eliminate options) – AD/BCE
Statement 1: \(\frac{1}{x^2} = \frac{1}{16}\)
- • According to this statement: \(x^2 = 16\)
- o So, x can be -4 or 4
Statement 2: \(\frac{1}{2x} = \frac{1}{8}\)
• According to this statement: \(2x = 8\)
- \(⟹ x = 4\)
Thus, the correct answer is Option B.

1/x^2 = 16
X^2 = 16
X can be -4 Nd 4.
We are getting 2 values INSUFFICIENT.
Option 2.
1/2x = 8
2x = 8
X = 4
Hence statement 2 is right
Answer = B
