Breaking Down the Info:
Note we will want to know the sign of \(s\) to see if we have \(r > s\) or \(r < s\).
Each statement alone talks about only one variable, so we will have to combine the statements.
Both Statements Combined:
Method (i): We can have \(\frac{20}{10}\) or \(\frac{10}{20}\), so combined we can't tell the ratio of \(\frac{r}{s}\).
Method (ii): We are allowed to change the question to "is \(r > s\)?" as we know \(s\) must be positive, but since we only have \(r > 5\) and \(s > 5\) we cannot infer the relation between r and s.

Target question: Is r/s > 1?
Statement 1: r is greater than 5.
Since we have no information about the value of s, there's no way to answer the target question with certainty.
Statement 1 is NOT SUFFICIENT
Statement 2: s is greater than 5.
Since we have no information about the value of r, there's no way to answer the target question with certainty.
Statement 2 is NOT SUFFICIENT
Statements 1 and 2 combined
There are several values of r and s that satisfy BOTH statements. Here are two:
Case a: r = 12 and s = 6. In this case, r/s = 12/6 = 2, which means the answer to the target question is YES, r/s is greater than 1
Case b: r = 6 and s = 12. In this case, r/s = 6/12 = 1/2, which means the answer to the target question is NO, r/s is not greater than 1
Since we can’t answer the target question with certainty, the combined statements are NOT SUFFICIENT
