If the sum of the rows and columns of the table are equal, then what is the sum?
(1) The sum of the diagonal elements from the top left through the bottom right is 10.
(2) The diagonal elements on both diagonals sum to same number.

I feel the question stem as it is given doesn't serve any purpose. Isn't that sum of all rows and sum of all columns of a given tabular data will naturally be equal? What is the significance of that question stem then?
