Given: x and y are integers.
Asked: is xy = even?
Statement 1: x = odd
Now, in Case 1: x = odd and y = odd, then we get a "No".
Case 2: x = odd and y = even, then we get a "Yes".
Insufficient.
Statement 2: y = even.
Here, in both cases, we will get an "Even" product.
Case 1: x = odd and y = even, we get a "Yes"
Case 2: x = even and y = even, we get a "Yes"
Sufficient.
Answer: B
