The variables x, y, and m are all positive integers. If y is even and x is odd, is m odd?
(1) m^y = x
(2) x^y = m

Given that x, y, and m are all positive integers and y is even and x is odd. We need to find is m odd?
STAT 1: m^y = x
We know that x is odd
=> m^y = odd
And we know that any positive integer power of a odd number is odd, and y is positive integer
=> m = odd
=> SUFFICIENT
STAT 2: x^y = m
We know that any positive integer power of a odd number is odd, and y is positive integer and x is odd
=> x^y = odd
=> m = odd
=> SUFFICIENT
So, Answer will be D
