If m and n are integers, is mn even?
(1) m = 5.
(2) m and n are consecutive integers.

Part 1:
m is 5 doesnot tell us what n might be. If n be odd number lets say 3, then mn would be 15 that is odd or if n is even lets say 4, then mn would be 20 that is even.
Hence Insufficient.
Part 2:
The fact that m and n are consecutive means that either number will be even and the other be odd so the multiplication of an odd and even is always even.
For example: 2*3=6
Hence SUFFICIENT
