So, I took a GMAT online exam yesterday and got 710 (Q48, V39, IR 5, AWA 6) which is 30 points below my target score. I’ve booked a GMAT test at centre for 14th December. I believe I can get at least 730 and a higher IR score with some fine tuning and if I’m unable to get >710 I’ll apply with 710 itself. However I won’t be able to get into my dream school, HEC. I know my profile and 710 doesn’t complement it.
So, my dilemma right now is if I should send the free score reports (5 within 48hrs) to my target schools or not. What happens if I send the 710 now but send the better score that I hope to receive in December again. Would that be a problem?
I will anyway submit my application after I take the test in December which will be my final push. So, in case I don’t get the score I’m aiming for and decide to proceed with 710, I will have to spend $35 per school.
I tried to look for an answer on the mba.com website but couldn’t find anything useful. Can some folks help me with this?
Thanks.
