When using forum quiz and solving already solved questions.

Question

Hi, Club Moderators,
I have been using the forum quiz feature for a while now and am finding it very useful in my preparation, I usually attempt previously solved questions to check my conceptual knowledge making sets of 20 questions each, It works well initially but after a while starts showing repeat questions which increase in frequency on attempting further sets, even though the pool is huge. Is there a way such that each time I attempt a quiz, it only shows questions not recently attempted(Non-repeat questions)?
Also, sometimes, while attempting the quiz of specifically selected questions from the error log, it ends abruptly with a dialog box appearing saying question not found even though it is available in the error log. Is it a glitch, or do I need to change something from my end?

Hi. Thank you for the question.

Kudos on using the system that way. What you are talking is kind of a flashcard Lea big system almost like a repetition of some kind. And we have not built it that way. I think it is kind of random. Have you tried doing quizzes from the error log by selecting equations from a long time ago or something like that? Or how would you suggest we structure it?

I think it should be structured in a way such that if today I start solving already attempted questions in a set of 40 questions each from the error log using the forum quiz feature, it should always show me fresh (previously attempted) questions until I have exhausted all the questions from that section, and then a fresh cycle of repeated questions should start.

One more question - how are those attempted questions picked? Do we A) randomly pick them or B) start from oldest attempted to the most recently?

Usually, when someone starts their GMAT prep, they initially begin by doing easy questions and then move toward the more difficult ones. So if we choose option B, it'll create uniformity during the revisions, but unfortunately, GMAT is not so predictable, so IMO going ahead with option A would be a better way, as once one has built the necessary basic skills by solving questions once, randomised sets of mixed difficulty would be a better way to test skill.

P.S. There may be a few modes of solving repeat questions solving.

Quick question for you - are you thinking this is only covering mistakes or this covers ALL attempted questions? 
I can see perhaps doing mistake repetition type of all mistakes with certain frequency methodology

I think having both modes, i.e. mistakes only and all questions, would be better instead of having just one as;

1. Having a mistakes-only mode will help in the crucial last week's revision of the type of questions that were frequently answered incorrectly during prep.

2. Sometimes, while practicing, questions get correctly marked either by guessing or having a strong grasp of the topic at that time, which can fade gradually if not given proper revision. Hence, having an all-question mode can help in general revision and also discover new weak areas.
