So I have always been curious to see how long and how much people study, and how much that paid off for them on test day. I studied for about 200 hours and increased by score by 140 points from my first practice test (570) to test day (710) which equals 1.43 hours of studying for EVERY point increase I made. Looking back, that is PAINFULLY slow. it just shows how long it can take to increase your score.
I'd like people to take the poll and then tell us how many hours you spent studying per point increase from your first practice test to real GMAT.
Total hours studied/point increase = hours of studying/1 point increase
200/140 = 1.43 hours of studying/1 point increase

100/80 (610 to 690) = 1.2 hours/1 point increase. At first glance that's a pretty gross statistic, but if hypothetically I could have extended that and studied for 50 more hours to improve my score 40 points it HELLA would have been worth it.

Thanks for the reply! I find it interesting that our hours/1 point increase was actually pretty close to eachother... I know the statistic isn't perfect b/c each person starts their first practice test at a different point, but I still think it's pretty cool/interesting to think about.
