The first time I took the GMAT, I biffed the math and only got a 670, but my goal score was only 720 so I'm STOKED with a 740!! Too bad I applied to law school this year and not b-school. I was holding out so I could get into law programs and then do the JD/MBA, but now I might wait until next year to apply. With a 3.9 GPA, I think I'm a good shot for top schools. Thanks for this board, and thanks to everybody who helped me with math over the last few weeks.
Oh, and the one thing I learned, that I didn't do well on the LSAT, was to chill out and relax. It ain't the end of the world. I think that's my theme this year.

I got a 680 last time I took it because I did horrible in math. I hope I can improve the way you did. What did you do to get your math score up? I always get extremely nervous and panic during the math section.
congrats on the stellar score and good luck with your apps. can you share your experience in more detail. all of us future test takers would really appreciate it. thanks again and good luck; cheers
