gave my exam yesterday. depressing 600. Q44 & V28!!!!!!!! actually i thought i was doing well in verbal. turned out negative. MY GMAT - 600,10TH - 84%,12TH - 93%, BE(MARINE) - 84% 3YRS WORK EXP(MARINE ENGINEER), good sports and extra curricullar activities in school level, Col Captain and general proficiency gold medalist. can someone suggest me my chances..
You are a very qualified candidate but chances depend on the schools you are shooting for. That would determine your chances.
If you are looking for Top 20 then it may be a bit tough with their average GMAT scores being quite a bit above the 600 you have.
Here is a table with 2011 -2012 stats. If you want Top 20, you my have to retake. How much effort did you put in into this 600? How long did you prep? How many hrs per day and what materials did you use?
thanks for your response. i am a marine engg on vacation now. i am preparing for the past 3 and half months. took prep classes from kaplan chennai. i was studing for 3 to 4 hours on average per day. regarding the materials- kaplan course book, OG 13 in general, manhattan guides for my quants and SC. till now i am giving prefrence to indian colleges because of my family situation.
I am sorry, I am not very familiar with the Indian BSchools - you may want to try pagalguy.com or another forum that is specializing in Indian BSchool Discussions. The only one we have covered here is pretty much ISB.
