Hi ! I did my first GMAT and scored only 530 !! First it was rather frustrating, but then i started to analyze the results...

I did pratice only for one week (each day about 6 hours) and had a GMAT Prep from MBA Center in Zurich.

If i have now a look at what people did to get 700 I wonder wheter I just did not enough preparation and my result is not so bad in contrast to that.

I have no experience ... feedback from the community is highly appreciated, since I start learning for the second GMAT quite soon and I don't want to make the same mistakes.

My gut reaction based on your short post is that you need more practice and greater exposure to the test format. Did you complete the OG (official guide)?

Took the test in May. Have the same result.

Much like you I prepared one week in advance of taking my test after deciding what school I was going to attend. Actually, worked out to be about 20 hours total of prep time - and I took 2 practice tests on the Princeton Review (I purchased the book). I scored a 530 as well - math killed me. I didn't pace well and ended up rushing (and guessing) through my final 10 questions.
