Hi guys, just finished my gmat and feel frustrated.
Got good overall score of 710 (Q49, V38).
But I got 1 (!!!) for IR, this is 0 percentile..
To be honest, I didn't prepare for it at all. On 2 Gmatprep tests scored 6 and 8 respectively, the lowest sore of 3 was on MGMAT. So I decided that I was quite alright.
Now I don't know what to do. I'm applying for MSc programmes at French top schools. My GPA is 3.7, have 1,5 work experience.
Do you have any thoughts how such a IR score can affect my application?
Can't retake the exam as the application deadline is at March, 31st.

Hi kate565,
First off, a 710/Q49 is an outstanding score (it's right around the 90th percentile overall), so you should apply to any Schools that interest you. Many Schools have publicly stated that they do not consider an applicant's IR score when assessing an application, so you likely have nothing to worry about there. As such, a retest might not be necessary. You're ultimately asking Admissions questions though, so you would likely find it beneficial to speak with an Admissions Expert about your overall profile. You should get in touch with someone at your target school(s) ASAP. Schools are starting to use IR (almost 97% of all applications have IR scores now) and you should not leave this to chance. You might want to take the test again if they say that they consider IR important.
If you can't get in touch with any admission committees, I'd say that you shouldn't worry too much. 710 is a very good score, and it should easily overshadow a low IR score.
